The New King James Version (NKJV) is an English translation of the Bible that was first published in 1982 by Thomas Nelson. The New Testament was released in 1979, the Psalms in 1980, and the full Bible in 1982, following a seven-year process to completion. Initially known as the Revised Authorized Version, the title NKJV is now universally recognized.

This NKJV app offers a variety of downloadable Bibles featuring tools such as highlighting, search functionality, bookmarking, note-taking capabilities, and reading plans tailored for daily Bible study.

Regarding the NKJV's translation process, its preface indicates that for the Old Testament, it relies on the 1967/1977 Stuttgart edition of the Biblia Hebraica. This version frequently consults the Ben Hayyim edition of the Mikraot Gedolot (published by Bomberg in 1524–25), which was employed for the King James Version. Both editions stem from the ben Chayyim text. Notably, the NKJV uses an earlier manuscript (the Leningrad Manuscript B19a) than the KJV in its Biblia Hebraica references.

Furthermore, for the New Testament, the NKJV employs the Textus Receptus ("Received Text"), consistent with the original King James Version. Annotations in the centralized notes section acknowledge discrepancies found in Novum Testamentum Graece (NU) and the Majority Text (M), as elaborated in the preface.
